ASB Commences Second Year with 300% Growth
Bahrain, October 2021 – Esol Education’s American School of Bahrain (ASB), inaugurated in 2020 amidst the pandemic, has demonstrated remarkable growth by tripling its enrollment in its second year to become a leading school of choice among parents in the Kingdom. The school is expanding its offerings with the addition of Spanish to its Language Program, as well as further developing its robust sports program by bringing on board Mr. Randall Gayton, ASB Athletics Director. With its internationally experienced educators, solid leadership and a well-executed COVID response plan, the school has become a safe hub for students, earning the trust of its parent community.

“We have a positive outlook on the future of this institution and trust in the international caliber of our educators. We would like to express our gratitude for our parents' continued trust that we will uphold and build upon. We also thank the Kingdom of Bahrain for all its efforts in containing the pandemic and ensuring the safety of the community, students and educators every step of the way. The future of the educational community looks exciting and we can’t wait for the students to serve as international ambassadors of the Kingdom across different fields,” said Dave McMaster, ASB’s Founding Director.

Always focused on developing their core pillar of Academic Excellence, one of the latest developments at ASB is the introduction of Spanish as a new language option, alongside its Arabic and English Language Arts curriculum. ASB emphasizes its dedication to fostering global citizens, providing pathways to the world’s best universities and prestigious careers. Spanish, a leading world language, opens a gateway to a diverse global business market.
Further, Athletics Director, Mr. Randal Gayton, has exciting expansion plans for the both the athletics and extra-curricular activities programs, that will take full advantage of the school’s 60,000 sq.m. holistic learning environment and diverse sporting facilities. These include a regulation-sized soccer field, basketball and tennis courts, an indoor gymnasium, and two swimming pools.

Globally, the education system has been pivoting to make in-person schooling experience safe, nurturing, while maintaining active collaboration through teamwork and group projects. ASB has consistently embraced this through their pillar of Community, and has seen 100% of its students return to campus for face-to-face learning. In line with the Ministry regulations, the school provides a comfortable COVID-safe environment for an on-campus learning and interaction experience. Virtual learning is an available option and is delivered with excellence to the students that opt for it. According to Mr. McMaster, “As of September 20, every ASB family has chosen to attend school face to face. We have been excited to have our students all back on campus, and their enthusiasm is indicative of the superlative learning culture being instilled at our school. I would commend our outstanding teaching team for their ongoing efforts in creating a safe, nurturing and productive atmosphere within and outside the classroom!”
